My Job is Me
A memoir about learning that the person you need to save is yourself.
I spent years trying to save my mom from her alcoholism. Rearranged my whole life around it. And at some point I realized I was so busy saving her and managing our family’s big, chaotic life that I’d completely forgotten to take care of myself.
My Job is Me is the story of the falling apart, the letting go, and the liberating process of learning that your primary job in life is not to save other people. It’s to take good care of yourself.
For anyone who has ever loved someone they couldn’t fix and forgotten themselves in the process.

Same author. Same mission.
One book is for the adult who grew up being the responsible one and is finally learning to put themselves first. The other is for the kid who’s living it right now and needs to know it’s not their fault.
Both started the same way because I was that kid, and I became that adult, and I wrote the books I wish I’d had.
